ABOUT LAST GAME: Columbia and Delmarva revealed just how prolific its offenses were early on Saturday night. The clubs totaled 14 runs in the first three innings but the Shorebirds wound up winning the series opener, 8-7, at Spirit Communications Park.
WELL, THAT'S A FIRST: Columbia and Delmarva scored runs in the first six half innings. That's the first time a game the Fireflies have played in began that way. The lead changed four times over the course of the first three frames.
TURBO BOOST: Ali Sanchez became the most recent Firefly to triple on Saturday. The Fireflies lead the SAL in three-baggers and here's how the squad ranks across all of MiLB...

THE NEW STREAK: Catcher Scott Manea collected three more hits on Saturday. The Massachusetts native has reached safely in 16 straight games and owns a team-best .484 on-base percentage this season. His on-base percentage during the streak is an astronomical .532 (that includes 15 hits, 11 walks and 7 HBPs).
THE BRO-WONDER: Columbia centerfielder Quinn Brodey is second in league with 27 RBIs and 17 extra-base hits (9 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs). The former Stanford Cardinal product has also scored a run in nine straight games
THE OTHER GUYS: Delmarva holds the best record in the SAL and has six top-30 prospects, according to MLB.com, on its roster.
