He is one of the most patient hitters in the SAL, too - he's first in the league in walks (19) and second in on-base percentage (.473). The 21-game on-base streak is a new franchise record, passing Jay Jabs, Luis Carpio and Andres Gimenez's 17 straight set during the 2017 season.

ON THIS DAY: On April 28, 2017, Matt Winaker lifted his college team, Stanford, to a 4-3 win over Arizona. The 22-year-old notched three hits (one being a solo home run), scored twice, and had two RBIs. It was one of the six times Winaker recorded three or more hits in a game that season with the Cardinal.
