Firecats Announce Football & Cheer Camps

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats have announced they will be hosting a football camp from Monday June 18th to Wednesday June 20th and they will be hosting 2 one day cheer camps on Saturday June 16th and Saturday June 23rd.

The football camp will be held daily from 9am to 3pm in Germain Arena on the turf. The camp is open to all football players ages 7-15. Firecats coach Kevin Bouis will lead the camp along with many Firecats players. Agility and speed drills will be taught by the training staff from Velocity Sports in Naples. All who participate in the camp will receive a t-shirt and 4 game tickets to both the June 16th game against Manchester and the June 23rd game against Albany. Space is limited call 390-2287 to register. The deadline to register is Wednesday June 13th.

The cheerleading camps will be held on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm at Germain Arena. Kelly Fox, head cheerleading coach at Naples High School and Florida Gulf Coast University, will lead the day's events. All participants will perform at halftime of the Firecats game the same day of the cheer camp and will receive a camp t-shirt and 4 tickets to that day's game. The camp is open to all cheerleaders ages 7 and up. The cost of the camp is $60, to register contact Kelly Fox at 239-595-1430.

The Florida Firecats travel to Huntsville, Alabama to battle the Tennessee Valley Vipers for the 3rd time this season. The road team has won each of the previous match-ups this year. Kickoff is set for 8:30pm EST. Fans can listen to the game online at www.FloridaFirecats.com, www.NBC-2.com & www.ABC-7.com.

The Firecats return home next week for a pair of games beginning with the Manchester Wolves on Saturday June 16th. Tickets are on sale now. Call the Firecats box office at 390-CATS (2287) to reserve your seats.
