June 8, 2007 - arenafootball2 (af2) - Manchester Wolves News Release

The Manchester Wolves received a solid effort from their defense, which forced six turnovers, en route to their 47-35 win over East Division rival Albany Conquest in front of 5,419 fans on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H.

Manchester (5-5) was led by ADT Defensive Player of the Game Travis Pugh's best career game as he collected two interceptions for the second time this year along with his 5.5 total tackles and three pass deflections. Also tallying turnovers for the Wolves were Jesse Tupper (one forced fumble), Lamar Bryant (one forced fumble), Eric Turner (one forced fumble) and Allistair Sebastien (one fumble recovery).

Offensively the Wolves were led by quarterback and Schutt Offensive Player of the Game Mark Radlinski's five touchdowns on 207 yards thrown, as he improved to 2-2 as a starter for Manchester. Radlinski spread the wealth to his receiving core as David Bailey (seven catches, 63 yards, one touchdown), Ari Confesor (seven catches, 58 yards, two touchdowns) and Patrick Rouzard (six catches, 86 yards, two touchdowns) all caught at least one touchdown on the night.

Wolves FB/LB Adam Fichter earned the U.S. Army Ironman of the Game with his 0.5 tackles, one quarterback hurry on defense and five rushes for 14 yards and two scores on offense.

Leading the way for the Conquest (3-6) offensively was Antwun Williams, the recipient of the Cutters Catch of the Game, who caught nine catches for a game-high 129 yards and two touchdowns. Conquest quarterback Ryan Hart threw four touchdowns on 258 yards along with two interceptions before leaving the game due to injury early in the fourth quarter.

The Wolves will look to extend their winning ways when they visit Ben Bennett's old stomping grounds in Estero, Florida next week to take on the Florida Firecats (6-3) on Saturday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m. Bennett coached in Florida for two years (2003-2004), leading the Firecats to an impressive 24-13 record which includes a 2004 ArenaCup title, before arriving to Manchester.
