
Firebirds Host Sarnia for Annual "School Day Game"

Flint, Mich. - The Flint Firebirds return home to the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center this Wednesday morning, Nov. 7 for the club's second annual "School Day Game." Opening face-off is set for 11 a.m. (ET) vs. division rival Sarnia Sting in the Firebirds' only game during business hours of the season. Despite being a school day game, all fans are welcome to attend and great seat locations are still available.
More than 2,000 students are expected from over 20 different area schools throughout Flint & Genesee County in partnership with the Crim Fitness Foundation, Mass Transit Authority (MTA), Positivity Project, SodexoMAGIC and United Way. There will be educational messages ranging from leadership to perseverance displayed throughout the event on the video board from Firebirds' Associate Coach Darcy Findlay, captain Ty Dellandrea, goaltender Emanuel Vella and City of Flint Fire Department Quartermaster Rico Phillips.
This game also marks the second 'Winning Wednesday' game this season. The Firebirds are offering amazing deals for all Wednesday home games, featuring $2 Hot Dogs and $2 Popcorn. Also, every time the Firebirds win at home on a Wednesday, each fan in attendance will receive a free ticket to the next Wednesday home game.
Blue Line Club Menu: Presented by Great Lakes Sandwich Co & Cafe, Wednesday morning's menu for the Blue Line Club features scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffles and fresh fruit.
