Firebirds' Fourth Annual Training Camp Details & Rosters Announced

Flint, Mich. - The Flint Firebirds Hockey Club announced today the details for the fourth-annual training camp to be held this Monday, Aug. 27 through Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the Firebirds' official practice facility, Flint Iceland Arenas on Elms Rd. in Clayton Township. The opening of training camp gives fans their first chance to watch the Firebirds in action with all practices and scrimmages being FREE and open to the public.

Fans are encouraged to attend the Firebirds' fourth-annual Blue vs. White game on Wednesday, Aug 29. The main event takes place from 6-7:30 p.m. at Iceland Arenas and admission is free to the public.

The Firebirds will welcome 48 skaters to Flint, which includes a record 17 returning players, for fitness testing, on-ice practices and scrimmages. Along with the signed Firebirds' skaters and invited free agents, eight players with NHL ties will be in attendance including Dennis Busby (Arizona Coyotes), Ty Dellandrea (Dallas Stars), Jan Jeník (Arizona Coyotes), Hakon Nilsen (New York Islanders camp), Fedor Gordeev (Toronto Maple Leafs), Riley McCourt (Dallas Stars camp), Connor Roberts (Pittsburgh Penguins camp) and Emanuel Vella (New York Islanders camp).

Additionally, newly drafted prospects from the 2018 OHL Priority Selection and 2018 U-18 Priority Selection, prospects from previous OHL Priority Selections, CHL Import Drafts, as well as free agent invites will be in attendance. There will be three teams: Team Blue, Team Grey and Team White.
