Firebirds Announce New Medical Partner

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Firebirds of the Arena Football League recently named Hendricks Regional Health as its new "Official Sports Medicine/Health Care Provider." Hendricks Regional Health will provide care to the team's athletes throughout their season.

Dr. Mark Booher is the team's new primary care sports medicine physician. Dr. Michael Kramer will serve as the team's physician and orthopedic surgeon. Both physicians are active members of the medical staff at Hendricks Regional Health. Care for the athletes also will be provided by certified athletic trainers from Hendricks Regional Health's physical and occupational therapy department.

"Hendricks Regional Health is excited to be chosen as the 'Official Sports Medicine/Health Care Provider' for the Indiana Firebirds," said Dennis Dawes, president. "Our new role is a reflection of our ability to provide superior health care services to both the professional athletes of our state's AFL team, as well as to all of the residents of west central Indiana."

Opened in 1962, Hendricks Regional Health is a full-service health care organization providing the entire region with a wide array of services such as immediate care, emergency services and intensive care, pediatrics, women's services including childbirth, cancer services, physical and occupational therapy, sports medicine, cardiology and cardiac rehab, diabetes care, mental health services, and inpatient and outpatient surgery.
