[FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.] –.In front of a record crowd of 7,948 the FireAntz capped off their weekend with a 5-2 victory over the Huntsville Channel Cats.

"The injection of [David] Bagley into our lineup was a huge boost for the boys and the atmosphere at the Crown was incredible", said Head Coach Scott Rex. David Bagley led the way for the FireAntz with a goal and an assist. "I was excited and anxious to get on the ice for my return". Bagley said on his return, "It was great. The whole reception from the crowd was incredible. I really appreciate the support and it's great we got a win for them. It was a real team effort, both on the ice, and in the crowd."

With the victory, the FireAntz took two of three from the Huntsville Channel Cats this weekend. "We've made huge strides this weekend. Obviously with Thursday night's loss, we put ourselves in a situation where we had to win these two home games." Coach Rex added, "To do it continuously as we did sets us up for next week's clash with these guys again. Our best player stepped up and outplayed their best player over the last 120 minutes of hockey."

Other leading scorers for the FireAntz included Scott Young (2 assists) and Mike Maurice (2 assists).

Goaltender Kevin Fines was named the Tarheel Forestry Service Player of the game stopping 38 of Huntsville's 40 shots.

The FireAntz take on the same Huntsville Channel Cats next Thursday at 7:35 pm. Great seats are still available.
