The FireAntz slipped four points behind Knoxville for the third and final playoff spot with a 4-3 loss against the Ice Bears.
Leading scorers for the FireAntz included Mike Maurice (1 goal, 1 assist), Mike Bournazakis (1 goal), and Chris Migliore (1 goal).
Goaltender Glenn Ridler stopped 20 of Knoxville's 24 shots.
The Cape Fear FireAntz host the Winston-Salem T-Birds this Friday, January 30th at 7:35 pm. Great seats are still available.
