Louisville Fire News Release
The Louisville Fire arena football team will move to the American Conference and play in the East Division for the 2005 arenafootball2 season. The Fire's 2005 division will include the Green Bay Blizzard, Albany Conquest, Manchester Wolves and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers.
Last season the Fire went 4-3 against the teams in their current division. The Fire will play each one of their divisional opponents twice (once at home and once on the road) during the 2005 season. The Fire had played in the Midwest Division of the National Conference in 2003 and 2004 along with Green Bay. The af2 will be split into two conferences, American and National, with each conference consisting of two divisions.
The 2005 af2 divisional alignment is as follows:
