Tonight's Match-up

Nice To Be Home: The Macon Trax return for their first home game in a month tonight hosting the Cape Fear Fire Antz. The Trax went 7-3 on their just concluded road trip.

Records: The Trax come into tonight's game with a record of 29 (4)-27 for 54 points in third place in the ACHL. Because four of the Trax wins are in shootouts, they received only one point in the standings for those games. Cape Fear is 21 (1)-36 for 41 points in fifth place in the ACHL.

Season Series: this has been a hotly contested series with the Trax winning six of the 11 games between these two teams. The Trax won the most recent 4-3 in overtime at Cape Fear on March 7th.

Recent Action: The Trax won their third straight game and got their 13th win in their last 17 games with a 6-4 win over the Jacksonville Barracudas Wednesday night.

Power Play: TRAX 69-288 24.0% 2nd Cape Fear 41-269 15.2% 5th

Penalty Kill: TRAX 205-260 78.8% 5th Cape Fear 237-301 78.7% 6th

Tracking The Trax: The Trax clinched a playoff spot on march 7th with their overtime win against Cape Fear...A Trax win tonight coupled with a Winston-Salem loss against Knoxville will assure the Trax a third place finish and a first round playoff match up against Knoxville...If the Trax finish in fourth place they will play Orlando in the first round of the playoffs...You can see ACHL action on This Week in Southern Hockey which airs Saturday at 2 p.m on Cox Cable channel 15.

Hockey Happy Hour: The Trax weekly coach's show, the Hockey Happy Hour, is held every Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Locos Deli & Pub. Coach Brian Curran will be on hand, as well as one of the Trax players. Fans are invited to come by and visit the Hockey Happy Hour.
