DUBUQUE, IA - The Fighting Saints have traded goaltender Thatcher Bernstein and a 2025 Phase I 10th Round pick to the Tri-City Storm in exchange for a 2025 Phase I 4th Round pick and future considerations.
The Saints drafted Bernstein in the 2022 Phase 1 USHL Draft with a 5th Round selection. The 2006-born goaltender is committed to Harvard University.
"Thatcher Bernstein has been an appreciated member of our organization," said general manager Kalle Larsson. "He is a talented goalie with a bright future. We wish him the very best in Tri-City."
For the Saints, Bernstein played in 10 games with five wins and an .859 save percentage. Bernstein will join Tri-City, the fifth-place team in the Western Conference so far this season.
Recent Saints acquisition Dylan Johnson made his Dubuque debut at the Frosty Cup in Dallas, Texas last week. He made 26 saves on 28 shots in an overtime win over Sioux Falls.
