January 22, 2014 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, IA-The Dubuque Fighting Saints have played their cards right recently, claiming four straight wins, and on Friday evening the stakes will be a little higher on Vegas Night, presented by Mystique Casino. The Fighting Saints will be all-in for the Prairie Farms Cowbell Cup rivalry matchup versus Cedar Rapids at 7:35 p.m. Fans have the chance to win great prizes under the bright lights of the Mystique Community Ice Center, which, at least for one night, will serve as the Entertainment Capital of the World.
The evening will feature all the magic and allure that is Las Vegas. The arena will mimic the Las Vegas strip, with each suite being transformed into a rendition of one of the cities' iconic hotels. Premium spirits will be flowing in the DB&T Club for the preferred players and high rollers. Staff members will be dressed as pit bosses, and music through out the evening will be themed to include music choices paying homage to the Sin City.
During Friday night's game, fans will be invited to participate in a large-scale game of Texas Hold'em, where six sections in the arena will battle against each other with oversized playing cards. Contestants will also be chosen to play a game of High/Low, and all fans in attendance will have a chance to win $5 in slot play at the Mystique Casino if a lucky contestant rolls anything but a seven in the Mystique Dice Roll. Mystique Casino will give fans additional chances to win great non-cash prizes. A table for fans to play 21 will be setup on the concourse, and fans are encouraged to visit the Mystique Casino prize wheel for a chance to spin to win.
Winners will also be chosen throughout the evening to claim a spot in a special Mystique Casino Slot Tournament as well as their popular Wild Card Wednesdays blackjack tournament. Fighting Saints fans also have a chance to earn a spot in these events by entering daily contests on the Fighting Saints Facebook page this week leading up to Friday's game.
Media partner WJOD is also providing an epic matchup on Friday night with a "Battle of the Sexes," trivia contest. Las Vegas is also known for its music, and contestants in the marquee matchup will be competing to see country superstar Luke Bryan perform at the UNI-Dome in February.
Friday's game is Dubuque's first home game this season versus rival Cedar Rapids. Just four points in the competitive Eastern Conference separate the RoughRiders and Fighting Saints. Dubuque is 0-1-1 against the RoughRiders this season, but looks to turn their luck around Friday.
Fans can win big Friday night with Las Vegas Night, but only if they score tickets to the big event. Fans can order by calling 563.583.6880, or by visiting DubuqueFightingSaints.com. Remember, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas," so if you don't attend Friday's game, you'll never know what excitement you missed.
