Fighting Saints Complete Trade with Green Bay

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Dubuque Fighting Saints and the Green Bay Gamblers have completed the trade for Jackson Hallum, which occurred on February 24, 2022. In addition to forward Peter Kramer, the Gamblers will acquire forward Mikey DeAngelo and defenseman Austin Oravetz as the future considerations part of the transaction.

DeAngelo, 17, posted six points (3 goals, 3 assists) in 38 regular season games as a Fighting Saint this past season, and took part in two games during the 2021 Clark Cup Playoffs in Chicago. The Chicagoland native was drafted in the seventh round, 104th overall, in Phase I of the 2020 USHL Draft. He is committed to Arizona State University.

Oravetz, 18, played 68 games as a Fighting Saint, along with two playoff games during the 2022 Clark Cup Playoffs. He notched 21 points (2 goals, 19 assists), and was a career +9 as a Saint in the regular season. The Pittsburgh Penguins Elite program product was selected in the 11th round, 166th overall, in Phase II of the 2020 USHL Draft.

Hallum, a Michigan commit, and a Vegas Golden Knights prospect, posted 21 points in 21 games for the Saints after the trade deadline, and scored two game-winning goals. The two-time USHL Forward of the Week finished his USHL career with 82 points in 77 games, and a pair of points in four playoff games.
