Fighting Falcons Planning Promotional Schedule

Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release
PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Fighting Falcons, proud members of the North American Hockey League, continue to work on their promotional schedule as the 2013-14 season draws nearer. The team will bring back many fan-favorite events, as well as new theme nights.
As part of their partnership with Radio First, the Fighting Falcons will host a live remote broadcast from McMorran Arena before their home opener Saturday, September 28 against the Michigan Warriors.
Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the team will wear special pink jerseys during warm-ups of each of their three home games. The jerseys will be sold with all proceeds supporting local breast cancer awareness charities.
The Fighting Falcons will hold a Retro Weekend in November. The team is currently in talks with former members of the International Hockey League's Port Huron Flags to make an appearance and sign autographs. Other special Retro Weekend details will be released in the near future.
December brings the Teddy Bear Toss, in which fans are urged to toss a teddy bear onto the ice after the Fighting Falcons' first goal of the night. All donations from the Teddy Bear Toss will benefit local children's charities. Young fans will also have the opportunity to skate with Santa Claus!
Each of Port Huron's five Sunday home games will be Kids Days. Some Sundays will feature kid-friendly giveaways, while others will include local youth hockey teams taking part in scrimmages and shootouts during intermission.

Full-season ticket packages for 2013-14 start at just $175, and the first 25 fans to purchase two or more full season ticket packages will receive a free game-worn Port Huron Fighting Falcons jersey.
