
Fighters Sign Defensive Back Willie Bailey Jr.

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco Fighters announced today that the team has signed defensive back Willie Bailey Jr. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Bailey joins the Fighters after spending time in both the National Arena League the and the Arena Football League.
"Willie has the length and cover skills that we need in our secondary" said head coach Billy Back. We are looking forward to seeing him dictate some games."
The Florida native first played professionally with the Baltimore Brigade in 2018. Bailey recorded 16 tackles and a pass breakup during his rookie season in the AFL. He went on to join the Philadelphia Soul in 2019 before joining the Jersey Flight for the 2020 season.
Prior to his first season with the Brigade, Bailey played collegiately at Virginia Union University from 2013 to 2014 after transferring from the University of Florida. At VUU, Bailey was named CIAA defensive Rookie of the Year and two-time All-American. In 2013, Bailey made 74 tackles, including a sack and an interception.
The Frisco Fighters return to the field next spring for the 2023 season. Full Squadron Memberships are on sale now. Single-game tickets will be on sale at a later date.
