
Fields Named Player of the Week

Minot, ND ... January 4, 2008 - The Continental Basketball Association announced this week that the Minot Skyrockets' Ronnie Fields was selected as the American Conference Player of the Week for the week ending December 30, 2007.
Fields, a 6'4 guard from Farragut Academy in Chicago, scored 39 points in two games against the second place Albany Patroons. Fields put up 16 points in the first game, second for the Skyrockets, and then lit up the Patroons for a team-high 23 points on the second night. Fields also had 5 rebounds and 3 steals in both games.
Fields continues to work his way into CBA history. He currently has 5,471 career CBA points and is listed as number 10 in the All-Time CBA Scoring Record. He is also once again leading the league in steals with 2.5 per game. Fields previously led the league in scoring and steals for two straight seasons from 2002-2004.
Fields is the second Skyrockets player to be named Player of the Week. John Strickland was also selected for the week ending December 2, 2007.
