
Fever hosts opening game of eastern conference finals - Thursday, Sept. 8

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever has advanced to the 2005 WNBA Eastern Conference Finals, and will host the top-seeded Connecticut Sun in the opening game of a best-of-three series on Thursday, Sept. 8. Tickets for the opening game (Round 2, Home Game 1) are on sale now.
The Fever, who swept its best-of-three first-round playoff series with the New York Liberty, advanced to the East Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history. The Sun and Fever, which split their season series 2-2 and finished with the East's top two records, play the first game of their series at Conseco Fieldhouse before traveling to Mohegan Sun Arena for Game 2 (Sept. 10) and, if necessary, Game 3 (Sept. 11). Game times are still to be determined.
Connecticut closed its first-round series with a 2-0 sweep of the Detroit Shock. It is Connecticut's third straight appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals.
