Brandon, Manitoba - 19-year old veteran Jay Fehr has been chosen the Brandon Wheat Kings' Tip Top Tailors Player of t he Month for September / October.

A 3-year WHL veteran from Morden, Fehr enters the month of November as the Wheat Kings' leading scorer. In thirteen games in September / October, the former Pembina Valley Hawk had seven goals, 21 points, 12 penalty minutes while registering an impressive +12. Three of his 7 goals came on the powerplay for the Wheat Kings, who are currently 10-6-1-0 through the first seventeen games of the season.

A seventh round pick (136th overall) of the Wheat Kings in the 2004 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, Fehr goes into Friday's game against the visiting Swift Current Broncos with 90 career points, including thirty goals in 133 games.

During the 2007-08 campaign, Fehr scored sixteen goals and 47 points in 64 games.

In recognition of the monthly honour, Fehr will receive a shirt, tie and suit from Tip Top Tailors in the Shoppers Mall, the official menswear clothier of the Wheat Kings during one of the club's games this weekend at Westman Place.

Fresh off a 5-game west coast road trip that saw them post a 3-2-0 record, the Wheat Kings will play host to the visiting Swift Current Broncos and Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday and Saturday nights respectively at Westman Communications Group Place.
