FCC HEAD COACH ALAN KOCH

On the team's performance

Obviously, we're disappointed. Anytime you lose in a cup game, it's not fun. You could see the players left everything they had out on the pitch tonight. Individual errors cost us a lot and we actually played quite well at times tonight. You get yourself into a bit of a hole, two nothing down. We played a very, very good group. Tampa has some big-time stars and it's very difficult to come back. But the guys fought until the bitter end. Unfortunately, this cup run isn't as pleasurable as our other [U.S. Open] Cup run."

On evaluating the first season as a head coach

I've been coaching for a long, long time. I was disappointed when I stopped playing professionally and that's hard for any player to deal with. But the advantage was that I started coaching professionally at a young age. I had a lot of first years in multiple, different environments. We had a group that we worked with non-stop from day 1 in Florida to get ready for the season. We've gotten our club to the playoffs for the second year in a row which is a huge achievement. But we definitely want more. Our fanbase wants more and they deserve more."

On speaking to the players after the season's end.

"We haven't spoken to the group yet. We're going to allow them to digest the frustration of losing the [USL Cup] game tonight and let them shower up and have some dinner and speak to them back at the hotel.
