December 2, 2021 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
FC Tulsa News Release
TULSA - At a celebration in the iconic Circle Cinema with 2022 Season Ticket Members in the audience, FC Tulsa unveiled its new 2022 PUMA City and State Kits. The reveal of the kits comes on the heels of the club announcing a landmark multi-year partnership earlier in the day with PUMA to become the Official Soccer Apparel Partner of FC Tulsa.
FC Tulsa midfielder Eric Bird and goalkeeper Sean Lewis were on hand at Circle Cinema to model the uniforms and take pictures with fans in the City and State Kits.
Prominently featured on the "jock tag" of the white 2022 City Kit is a Patina Green shield from the city of Tulsa's flag, while on the black 2022 State Kit, FC Tulsa has placed a Gold Oklahoma official state logo. The two kits portray who FC Tulsa represents whenever it takes the pitch - the city of Tulsa and the state of Oklahoma.
Added to the nape of the neck on both kits for the 2022 season is a pair of crossed Gold Wrenches. The mark represents both of the Black Gold Derby victories over OKC Energy FC over the last two seasons, the first two in the FC Tulsa era.
Staying on both the City and State Kits for the 2022 season will be the Greenwood Ave. patch on the sleeve. FC Tulsa worked with local artist Trey Thaxton to develop the patch in 2021 which celebrates the past, present and future of Greenwood and honors the entrepreneurship of Black-owned businesses in Greenwood. All proceeds from sales of the patch will continue to go towards the funding of the Black Wall Street Memorial.
The City and State Kits are available immediately for pre-order here and adult sizes range from S-2XL and youth sizes from S-XL. Other FC Tulsa PUMA gear, including jackets, shirts and polos, is available for purchase starting on Friday, December 3 at the Team Shop, located at 1155 S. Elgin Ave. in downtown Tulsa, and today at the Online Shop.
