In addition, any fan that wears a Tigres UANL jersey to the FC Dallas versus Chivas USA game will receive free admission to the game. The free tickets must be picked up at the North Box Office upon presentation of the Tigres uniform. A limited number of the third jersey will be available for purchase at the Pizza Hut Park team store.
"We are representing one of the top team's in Mexico, in Tigres. The jersey is nice and we will represent it proudly," FC Dallas forward Carlos Ruiz said. "We invite the fans that support Tigres to support us as we are their brother in this league. It will be like a game in Mexico, but here in the U.S."
The FC Dallas word-mark will remain across the front of the jersey, with a Rio Grande Plate patch on the left chest. This will be the first time that FC Dallas will not wear the primary uniform for an official game at Pizza Hut Park.
On February 28, 2006, FC Dallas and Tigres announced multi-year partnership which will feature among other elements, a home-and-away series for the inaugural Rio Grande Plate - which will be played at Pizza Hut Park on July 19 and in Monterrey on July 26.
