FC Dallas (12-2-14, 50 pts) set the MLS single-season unbeaten mark with a 2-2 draw versus Colorado Saturday night at Pizza Hut Park, stretching the Dallas side's unbeaten streak to 19 games. The mark also ties the Columbus Crew for the longest overall unbeaten streak in MLS history (July 3, 2004 to April 2, 2005).

The tie was the 14th of the season for FC Dallas, an all-time MLS record for draws in a single season.

Milton Rodriguez scored FC Dallas' first goal in the 27th minute. It was his fifth goal since joining FC Dallas on May 13, 2010. On the play, Atiba Harris redirected a shot off the crossbar. The rebound trickled to Rodriguez's feet on the left side of the six-yard box, where he hammered home the loose ball.

David Ferreira scored the go-ahead goal for FC Dallas in the 37th minute. Marvin Chavez assisted on the play for his second assist of the season. On the play, Ferreira fed a ball in to Chavez at the top of the box. Chavez held off his defender while Ferreira made a run towards goal. Once Ferreira was clear of his marker, Chavez slipped a pass inside to Ferreira, who finished low to the far corner for the 2-1 lead.

Colorado equalized in the 51st minute on a goal by Jeff Larentowicz. It was Larentowicz's second goal of the game and his fourth of the season. The goal was the first given up by FC Dallas via corner kick this season. Larentowicz was assisted on the play by Jamie Smith.

QUOTES:

FC Dallas Head Coach Schellas Hyndman on the game I thought it was a strange game, we gave up an early goal and we did very well to come back and score two goals in the first half. In second half we had to take George John out because his hamstring was tightening up. You saw what happened when he came out. We had no answers for [Conor] Casey. A lot of balls were very dangerous, from him and Omar [Cummings].

On the second half They outplayed us in the second half. They scored on a corner kick. That's the first goal we've given up on a corner kick. The guy that was supposed to be marking him wasn't there. That was disappointing.

On positives to take away from the game We're getting a lot of guys healthy. We're getting players that normally wouldn't see time a lot of great experience. We've gone 19 games now undefeated. That's fantastic. If someone would have told us this is something we were going to be able to accomplish, we would have jumped all over it.

FC Dallas Defender Heath Pearce

I think we had chances to put them away. We had some momentum at times that we should have used to put them away. But, we got scattered a lot as a team. I think a lot of times during the game we weren't on the same page. We weren't organized. I think the problem you get a lot of times when you don't have a lot of experience on the field, the field tends to get really quiet and everybody looks to the other person to sort of lead the team. That's something we're going to have to change going into the playoffs because I think the field's too quiet in terms of organization, in terms of people stepping their game up both verbally and just in action as well. It's disappointing that we didn't get three points, especially (considering) the fact that we were ahead, but I think we were able to take a lot of positives and negatives from this game that we can use in the future.

FC Dallas Midfielder Atiba Harris

Of course it's the last regular season home game, so we wanted all three points but we didn't get it today. We came out a bit flat, gave up the early goal. Then we came back, we got two goals, and then we gave up that one second half goal. I was a bit disappointed, but at least we got a new record here for (consecutive) games undefeated in a season, so we'll take it.

FC Dallas Midfielder David Ferreira

I agree with Schellas 100 percent. The team was not attacking, not being creative. The streak continued, so that was a good thing. But, I was disappointed we didn't play the way we have been coming into this game.

Colorado Rapids Head Coach Gary Smith We're nine points clear of the team chasing us. We've got two games left. We put on a good performance tonight and, quite honestly, we should have won. Their goalkeeper made some great saves in the second half and there were a few calls that didn't go our way.
