
FC Dallas Opens Preseason Training Camp On Monday

FRISCO, Texas (Friday, Jan. 29, 2010) - FC Dallas will begin preseason training on Monday, Feb. 1, at Pizza Hut Park. All contracted players and draftees will go through physical examinations Monday morning and begin practicing at 6 p.m. CT on Pizza Hut Park field number four. Players and coaches will be available to media immediately following the training session.
FC Dallas is scheduled to hold two training practices each day beginning Tuesday, Feb. 2 through Wednesday, Feb. 17 while playing games on Saturdays and having Sundays off before departing for Orlando, Florida to compete in the inaugural Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic. The team will train at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and compete against three other Major League Soccer teams, the Houston Dynamo, the New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC in the tournament's first edition.
In addition to training, FC Dallas is scheduled to scrimmage five Division 1 college teams next month including Memphis University on Feb. 6, Tulsa University on Feb. 13 and Southern Methodist University on Feb. 16 at Pizza Hut Park. The team will also play the University of Central Florida on Feb. 19 and Florida International University on Feb. 21 in Orlando. A full preseason schedule will be announced at a later date.
