FC Cincinnati Set to Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

FC Cincinnati is set to honor Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage (AAPI) month throughout May as the club continues its commitment of leaving behind a legacy and serving as a community pillar of a rising greater Cincinnati area.

The club will support AAPI Month through in-match recognitions, participation in grassroots events, such as the Asian Food Fest, and player and staff involvement around community events related to AAPI month in and around Cincinnati.

"We're proud to continue to support MLS Works' Soccer For All campaign and honor AAPI heritage month," said Kate Solomon, SVP Marketing & Community Relations and Executive Director of FC Cincinnati Foundation. "We're excited to have several AAPI groups in attendance this weekend at TQL Stadium and to continue to participate in the many great events taking place in Cincinnati this month."

The celebration of AAPI month will extend to FC Cincinnati matchday's at TQL Stadium and at the pre-match parties at Washington Park. Asian food trucks will help keep fans fed at the park, with various organizations, such as AAPI Heritage Month Cincinnati and OPAWL - Building AAPI Feminist Leadership, out and about amongst the festivities.

In stadium and during FC Cincinnati matches, the Orange and Blue will recognize and honor the different AAPI groups in attendance, have an AAPI leader in the Cincinnati community deliver the game ball and broadcast a special message from FC Cincinnati midfielder, Yuya Kubo.

MLS and its clubs also support commemorative awareness months including Black History Month, Women's History Month, Asian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, LGBTQ+ Pride Month and Hispanic Heritage Month.
