FC Cincinnati News Release
CINCINNATI - FC Cincinnati has already renewed more than half of its current 18,000 season-base only 11 days into the season ticket renewal process. The club has passed 10,000 renewals since opening the process on Aug. 12.
That figure does not include the 1,000-plus new season ticket accounts which have already been opened for 2019. The new accounts are anticipated to represent several thousand actual season tickets as accounts generally average multiple tickets.
"We're thrilled with the excitement our fans and supporters have for our entry into Major League Soccer next year," Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service Jeff Smith said. "We've seen phenomenal interest in securing seats for next year - and so early in the renewal process - that we recommend our fans who plan to renew do so soon in order to ensure the best selection of season-ticket inventory. Coupled with the new deposits for 2019, we're looking at a record-setting season ticket base in 2019."
The 2019 season-ticket renewal process, which started on Sunday, Aug. 12 and runs through Wednesday, Sept. 5, will last a total of three-and-a-half weeks this year, the shortest window in club history. The seat selection process will start on Monday, Sept. 10, and will be scheduled by ticket priority.
Fans who renew their season tickets or opt into the Seat Improvement Process during this three-week period will have access to a 10-month payment plan. Fans are encouraged to renew early to ensure they retain their current ticket priority and are able to get in line for any potential seat upgrades or additions to their account.
This season, FC Cincinnati is averaging 25,194 fans per game at Nippert Stadium - the most in the USL. The club's average also represents the fourth-highest per-game mark in the U.S. and Canadian professional soccer, behind Atlanta United FC (50,863), Seattle Sounders FC (40,804) and Toronto FC (26,713), all of MLS.
Last weekend, FC Cincinnati broke its own USL record for single-season total attendance with three regular-season games still remaining. Through 14 home games, FCC has welcomed 352,709 fans to Nippert Stadium, breaking its old mark of 339,181 in 17 games from 2017.
FC Cincinnati (16-3-6, 54 pts.) currently sits atop the USL standings with the top point total in the entire league. The team returns to action on Saturday, Aug. 25, when it visits the Tampa Bay Rowdies for a 7:30 p.m. tilt at Al Lang Stadium. The game will be televised on WSTR 64 and streamed on ESPN+.
