Fayetteville vs Knoxville Game to be WebCast February 25
February 16, 2005 - SPHL (SPHL)
Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
Your Knoxville Ice Bears are proud to announce that the February 25th game against the Fayetteville FireAntz will be broadcast on the web by Dana Barker who is the Columbus Cottonmouths Director of Communications and Broadcasting. The webcast be broadcast live from the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.
Dana Barker says of the webcast, "I'm very excited to provide this for both teams. I have made friendships with both the staff and fans of the FireAntz and Ice Bears organizations and I'm glad to be able to do this as part of that. I also am happy to do this as a service to the SPHL as this will likely be a game that will affect the shape of the upcoming playoffs."
The Ice Bears have researched doing a webcast, and this will give the team a better look into what it takes to do such a broadcast. It is also another example of league member teams helping and teaching each other.
Barker also says, "This will be the first game I will ever cover with complete neutrality, so I'm looking forward to doing this game as a new experience for myself. I hope the Fayetteville and Knoxville fans and families of the players involved enjoy the broadcast."
A link will be placed on the Ice Bears web site before the game. There will be no charge to listen to the webcast.
