
Fargo-Moorhead announces 2007 schedule

FARGO, N.D. - After wrapping up the 2006 season as the Northern League Champions the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks are already beginning the chase for another title with the release of their 2007 regular season schedule.
The defending champs will play 13 of their first 17 games in front of a home crowd beginning with a four-game series with the Edmonton Cracker-Cats on Opening Day, set for Thursday, May 17.
The 2007 slate features 52 games against divisional opponents including 19 against Edmonton, 17 against Calgary and 16 against Winnipeg. The other 46 games will be played against Kansas City (6), Schaumburg (13), Joliet (14) and 11 games against the 2006 East Division Champion Gary SouthShore RailCats.
Fargo-Moorhead, along with the rest of the Northern League, will participate in a regular season five-game series for the first time. Both the first and second halves of the season will end with each team playing two five-game sets.
Fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy three weekday afternoon games (June 21, July 3 and Aug. 16) and eight weekeneds at Newman Outdoor Field.
The new season will bring new game times in Fargo. Standard Monday-Friday games will be played at 7:00 p.m. while standard Sunday game have been moved up to 1:00 p.m.
The season will also bring the 2007 Northern League All-Star Game to Newman Outdoor Field for the second time in league history. The game is scheduled to take place in Fargo on Tuesday, July 10. The mid-season classic for the league returns to Fargo after last being played at Newman Outdoor Field on Aug. 2, 1999.
