Reading Fightin Phils News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Phillies and White Star Travel Center have teamed up to offer fans several fantastic trips in 2008. Eight trips are being given away while six more, including one to Wrigley Field, are open to any fans that would like to book. Fans 18 and older are eligible for the trip giveaways. Transportation is included, as is lodging on all overnight trips.

The first three trip giveaways will take place on Opening Night, Friday, April 11 vs. the Altoona Curve (Pirates) at 7:05 PM. The trips, made possible in part by Rock Hits Y-102, will be a fan's choice between Cancun, Las Vegas or the tremendous Fan Road Trip to Wrigley, Cleveland, Notre Dame and Altoona. Details on the Fan Road Trip to follow.

On Opening Night eligible fans will be given an entry form to fill out and drop in the bin of the trip they would like to win. The team will draw one winner of a trip for two from each of the three bins.

On Friday, April 25 the R-Phils take on the Connecticut Defenders (Giants) at 7:05 PM and six fans won't be seeing the end of the game. In the 5th inning they'll begin an Instant Vacation to Atlantic City, NJ thanks in part to 830 AM WEEU.

All eligible fans interested in winning the Atlantic City trip need to arrive at FirstEnergy Stadium with their bags packed. A preliminary drawing will take place to determine 30 finalist couples. The finalists, and their luggage, will be escorted onto the field in the 5th inning where a limousine will be waiting. Three lucky couples will be randomly drawn from the 30 and immediately get in the limo and head for Atlantic City. They can get a recap and box score and watch highlights on readingphillies.com when they get to their hotel.

The R-Phils Grandparent/Grandchild day will be Sunday, July 13 when the Akron Aeros (Indians) are in town for a 1:05 PM game. All grandparents are invited on the field in the pre-game to introduce themselves and their grandchildren on the video board. Those that take part will receive one entry form per grandchild they bring. When the introductions conclude, one lucky grandparent couple will win a weekend with their grandchild in Wildwood, NJ, thanks in part to 830 AM WEEU.

The R-Phils 5th annual Renew Your Wedding Vows Ceremony will be held on the field prior to the 7:05 game on Friday, July 25 vs. the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays). All married couples that take part in the ceremony will be entered to win a second honeymoon to Las Vegas, thanks in part to Rock Hits Y-102. The winning couple will be drawn on the field immediately following the ceremony. Over 200 couples participated last season.

The team and White Star Travel also have six fan road trips open to all fans that can be booked at readingphillies.com (select "Travel" from either the Tickets or Promotions options on the main menu) or by calling 610-375-8469.
