Fort Myers Mighty Mussels News Release
FORT MYERS, FL (August 8, 2006) - Kids of all ages will set up their tents on the same field that Brandon Roberts, Deacon Burns and the rest of the Fort Myers Miracle outfield camps out for fly balls as Miracle Baseball holds its annual Great All-Nighter, presented by WJGO and WWGR, on Saturday, August 19.
All kids and their families are welcom to camp out following the game between the Miracle and Lakeland Tigers. Kids will get a chance to stay up as late as they want and enjoy food, fun and movies throughout the evening. Fans camping out are asked to bring tents without stakes.
"To watch a kids face light up when they get a chance to step foot and camp on a Major League field is something special," said Miracle General Manager Steve Gliner. "For a lot of these kids it's their first chance to stay the night away from their own beds and they have a blast. I think some of the parents enjoy it just as much as the kids."
The game between the Tigers and Miracle begins at 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. Following the game kids and parents can go back to their cars and bring their camping gear into the ballpark and set up their pop up tents in the outfield. Tickets for the Great All-Nighter presented by WJGO and WWGR are $6 for box seats and $4 for general admission. For more information or to order tickets call the Miracle office at 239-768-4210 or go on line to www.miraclebaseball.com.
