Thunder fans, here is your chance to take the shirts right off the back of your favorite Thunder players. On Sunday, August 25, the Thunder's season finale at Waterfront Park, lucky fans will win authentic, game used jerseys from the Thunder players. Following the game, lucky seat numbers will be announced and the fans holding those tickets will be invited down to the field to meet the player whose jersey they won. They can even have it autographed right there on the spot! This is your last chance to see Thunder baseball in 2002 and you may even get a game used uniform top signed by a Thunder player! ED KRANEPOOL APPEARANCE HIGHLIGHTS BIG WEEKEND AT WATERFONT
The Double A Affiliate of the New York Mets, the Binghamton Mets, come to Trenton next Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the final time of 2002. What better time to have Ed Kranepool, who spent 18 seasons with the New York Mets, at Waterfront Park to meet fans and sign autographs. Kranepool is a former National League All-Star who played in two World Series with the Mets and is appearing thanks to Butterball Deli Meats. With the B-Mets in town all weekend there is sure to be a lot of excitement at Waterfront Park and it starts on Friday night. Friday, August 9 at 7:05 is Mercer County Community College Night with the first 2,000 fans getting Thunder "Beverage Koozies". It's also 94.5 "The Hawk" Family Fun Night with pregame contests on the field to determine the "Family of the Game".
The Thunder and Mets continue their battle on Saturday, August 10 at 7:05. The first 2,000 fans will get an ACME Memo Board. No refrigerator is complete without one! Stick around after the game for a Fireworks Extravaganza brought to you by Soveriegn Bank.
The series concludes on Sunday, August 11 at 1:35. It is Butterball Deli Meats Celebrity Autograph Signing with former Mets star Ed Kranepool available for autographs during the game. As with every Sunday, all kids can run the bases after the game as part of the Commerce Bank Fun Run.
