Fankhouser and Parillo return to Toledo

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that forward Nick Parillo has been returned to Toledo from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League. Also today, Goaltender Scott Fankhouser has been returned to the Storm from Chicago of the AHL.

Nick Parillo, recalled to the Griffins on December 14th, appeared in three games with the Griffins over the past week. This was the second time this season that Parillo has joined Grand Rapids. The first was December 4th, when Nick played in one game for the Griffins. In four total games, Parillo collected nine penalty minutes, while not registering a point. In 19 contests with the Storm this season, Nick has 3 goals and 14 assists. The 14 assists are a team best.

Scott Fankhouser was recalled to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League on December 15th. Fankhouser appeared in two contests with the Wolves, while backing up Kari Lehtonen last night. On Wednesday night Scott came in for injured starter Micheal Garnett and played the last 12 minutes and 22 seconds of a game that Chicago lost in overtime 5-4. Friday night in Milwaukee, Fankhouser got the start and made 23 saves on the 30 shots he faced in a 7-2 loss. With the Storm this season, Scott has a record of 5-4-2 with one shutout, and a 2.69 goals against average.
