[MACON, Ga.] – Many Trax fans will be happy to see Bob MacMillan on the ice on a full time basis. Head Coach Tommy Stewart announced today he has re-signed MacMillan to a full time contract.

MacMillan has quickly become a fan favorite in Macon. The Stroud, Ont. native has appeared in seven games and has amassed 75 penalty minutes.

"Bobby has worked hard since he has been here," said Stewart, "He is willing to do the dirty work and protect our players and keep some of our key guys out of the penalty box."

MacMillan was previously signed to a couple of three game contracts to fill in when the Trax have been shorthanded due to injuries. In order to make room on the roster the Trax have released Ryan Crowther. Crowther appeared in 22 games scoring six points and registering 46 penalty minutes.

Macon has a busy week ahead, They will play four games in five days. With three home games the Trax will look to continue their three game winning streak throughout the busy stretch.

The Trax will skate on home ice Tuesday Night against Fayetteville. Fans can take advantage of a "Double Cola Double Tuesday" by bringing in a Double Cola or Ski product for 2-for-1 ticket specials. Call the Trax office for Double Cola product locations.

After a Thursday night game in Jacksonville the Trax will return home Friday and Saturday night. The Trax will battle first place Knoxville Friday. On Saturday the instate rivalry will be back. Columbus and the Trax will face off on Scout Night. All Girl, Cub, Tiger and Boy Scouts are invited to bring out groups for very special ticket prices. All games begin at 7:05 pm this week.
