
Fan Favorite Aaron Lesué Returns to Blaze

SALT LAKE CITY - WR Aaron Lesué (5-10, 195, Utah State), known for his well-executed touchdown celebrations and back flips, has re-signed with the Utah Blaze for the 2012 season. The Blaze are also pleased to announce that WR Justin Ore (6-3, 200, Western Oregon) will return to the Blaze's talented receiving corp.
"In re-signing Aaron Lesué, we not only bring back a talented wide receiver but also a crowd favorite," said Head Coach Ron James. "He is a player that contributes in every facet of the game and we are a much stronger team going into the 2012 season with him on our roster."
In Lesué's second season with the Blaze, he finished with a career-high 77 receptions for 912 yards and 27 touchdowns, despite only playing in 14 games. On special teams, he returned nine kicks for 59 yards and tallied 14.0 total tackles. For his efforts, he garnered the JLS Ironman of the Game award three times, and the Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Game once. As a rookie, Lesué played in 10 games. He rushed three times for an eight-yard gain and one touchdown while recording 19 catches for 233 yards and five touchdowns. Lesué, a local, collegiate athlete, walked on at Utah State his junior year after transferring from Dixie State College in St. George, Utah.
In three games with the Blaze, Ore recorded 26 catches for 338 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie. Ore attended Western Oregon University where he was a First-Team All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference selection as a senior and Second-Team All-Great Northwest selection as a junior. During his final season, Ore led the team in touchdown receptions with eight, and also had 31 receptions for a total of 571 yards.
James stated, "it is great to bring back Justin Ore for another season with the Blaze. He came to the team late in the year and proved to be an exceptional talent. I am anxious to see how truly great he can be with a full season under his belt."
The Blaze will continue to re-sign players from the 2011 roster during the Exclusive team signing period which runs until September 26th, at which point free agency opens.
