Family Chevrolet Signs on as Title Sponsor of Lemurs vs. Tecolotes Game on 9/26

Laredo, TX - The Laredo Lemurs and Uni-Trade Stadium are pleased to announce that the much anticipated game between The Laredo Lemurs and the Nuevo Laredo Tecolotes will be brought to you by Family Chevrolet - Find New Roads.
"We are so please to be involved in this inaugural event between the Laredo Lemurs and the Nuevo Laredo Tecos, said Danny Villarreal, (title) Family Chevrolet. "The rich tradition of the Tecolotes combined with love of our Laredo Lemurs will make this an annual event that we look forward to having each and every year". "This will be one of the marquee events of the year and we cannot thank our partner Family Chevrolet enough for involvement in this great event for both sides of the border", said Mark Schuster, owner Laredo Lemurs.
The two-day event will begin on Wednesday, September 25th with a Sports Luncheon honoring the Tecolotes players of the past including appearances by several members of the 1977 and 1989 Mexican League Champions from Nuevo Laredo. Also, on display will be over 100 photographs and memorabilia from almost 100 years of history of baseball in Laredo and Nuevo Laredo. Later that evening, employees from the City of Laredo and employees from Nuevo Laredo will play in the Family Chevrolet Gateway Cup softball game. Following the softball game will be the Family Chevrolet Homerun Derby. Members of the Lemurs and Tecos will compete for the title of Home Run Derby Champion. Admission to the softball game and Home Run Derby is FREE.
The Baseball Classic will feature the Laredo Lemurs of the American Association against the Nuevo Laredo Tecos of the Liga del Norte. Tickets for the game are $5.00 for general admission, $7.00 for reserved seats and $10.00 for box seats. Suites and group tickets are available by calling 7LEMURS.
