
Falloon Commits to Bruins

Chilliwack Bruins News Release
The Chilliwack Bruins are pleased to announce that forward Derek Falloon, selected by the Bruins in the sixth round (117th overall) of the 2008 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft has signed with the team.
This season the 5'7 152lb native of Russell Manitoba played for the Parkland Rangers of the Manitoba Midget AAA League where he scored 16 goals and added 15 assists in 42 games.
"We are very pleased that Derek and his family have chosen the Western Hockey League and the Chilliwack Bruins to pursue his hockey goals," commented Bruins Interim General Manager Darryl Porter.
"Derek is an outstanding prospect who has continued to develop this season at the Midget AAA level," added Bruins Director of Scouting Garry Pochipinski. "We were very impressed with him as a bantam player and this season he's taken his game to the next level. He's an excellent skater with good vision, strong character and the ability to finish."
