
Falcons Win 5th Straight

Kelowna Falcons News Release
The Kelowna Falcons exploded early on offense, and held on for a 10-6 win on Friday night in Yakima for their 5th straight victory.
The Falcons started off strong in the first inning after Lane Lacrone singled and Kyle Plantier was hit by a pitch, Ben Gamba would drive in Lacrone with a base hit. Kelowna would then execute a double steal which allowed Hunter Villanueva to cash in a run.
2 batters later, Andre Jackson dropped one behind the 2nd baseman for a pair of RBI's to lead 4-0 after just half an inning.
Kelowna would add three more runs in the 2nd inning thanks to Justin Flores, as he cashed in a pair with a single after a great bunt from Plantier and a pop out from Gamba. Joey Crunkilton would get his first hit and RBI of the WCL season driving in Flores to make it 7-0 in the 2nd.
The Falcons would make it 10-0 in the 4th inning thanks to RBI singles from Crunkilton, Jackson and Brandon Oliver.
Curtis Taylor would go 5 innings, giving up only 1 hit and striking out 6, picking up his 2nd win of the season.
Joel Lamont provided 2.1 Innings of relief for the Falcons, getting a pair of strikeouts and allowing an unearned run in the 7th inning, and was charged with a pair of runs in the 8th after exiting the ballgame.
The Pippins had the gap closed to 10-4 after 8 complete innings, but the Falcons would get out of the 9th inning with a pair of runs allowed again, to finish with a 10-6 victory, their 5th in a row.
