
Falcons Training Camp Set To Open September 24

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that their 2008 Training Camp will open on Wednesday, September 24 with the first skate scheduled for 10 am at the MassMutual Center. There will be two practice sessions with media availability at 11:15 am and again at 1:15 pm.
As part of their training camp, the Falcons will host their first ever VIP Fan Fest on Saturday, September 27 starting at 1:00 pm at the MassMutual Center. This event will be an exclusive event for ticket package holders and corporate sponsors and will include the following:
- Open Falcons' practice and scrimmage game.
- Free prizes and giveaways during practice and scrimmage game.
- Q&A segment with Falcons' coaches immediately following practice and scrimmage.
- Full team autograph session after practice and scrimmage.
- Everyone in attendance will receive one commemorative 8 x 10 color handout.
- Ticket package holders and sponsors will be able to pick up their tickets at this event.
The Falcons will play their home opener on Saturday, October 18 when they take on the Portland Pirates starting at 7:00 pm. Single game tickets for the 2008-09 regular season go on sale Monday, September 29 at 10:00 am at the MassMutual Center Box Office and online at ticketmaster.com. As part of their opening night festivities, the team will be handing out rally towels to fans in attendance sponsored by the MassMutual Center.
There will also be a pair of preseason games at the MassMutual Center when the Falcons host the Worcester Sharks on Friday, October 3 and Providence Bruins on Saturday, October 4. Tickets for the Falcons' two home preseason games go on sale Saturday, September 27.
