
Falcons softball tonight

Springfield, MA â The Springfield Falcons remind fans that they will take on the Hampden County Sheriff's Department in a charity softball game on Thursday, August 22nd at Rivers Field in Chicopee. Game time is scheduled for 6:15 PM. See directions below.
The Falcons softball team will feature head coach Marty McSorley and also include members of the Falcons Front Office. The Phoenix Coyotes named McSorley head coach of the Springfield Falcons on June 16th. McSorley played 18 seasons of professional hockey, including 17 years in the National Hockey League. He won two Stanley Cup Championships with the Edmonton Oilers. Norm Maciver, who was hired by the Tampa Bay Lightning, will join McSorley behind the Falcons' bench this coming season.
There is no admission fee for the softball game, but donations to benefit Springfield Falcons Charities Inc. are welcome. For more information call the Falcons Office at 413-739-3344.

* 91 North to 391 North. Take Exit 4 off 391 North. At stop sign, take a Left onto Grattan Street. Go down the hill and bear Right onto Meadow Street. Take 1st Right off of Meadow Street. There will be parking on Alden Street.
