IN JUST A FEW HOURS...

The Springfield Falcons host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the MassMutual Center, with the opening face-off for this division battle set for 7 p.m. The Falcons lead the Sound Tigers by two points for first place in the Northeast heading into tonight's game, which is the second of eight between the two clubs this season. Springfield fell in a shootout, 3-2, in its first game against Bridgeport on Oct. 27, with Cam Atkinson and Tomas Kubalik scoring for the Falcons that night.

Tonight's game is presented by MGM Springfield. Fans in attendance have the opportunity to win a brand new, high-definition television courtesy of Manny's TV & Appliances (MannysTV.com) as part of Flat-Screen Fridays.

Single-game tickets to see the Falcons in 2012-2013 can be purchased at the MassMutual Center Box Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. through game time on Saturday home dates, and starting four hours prior to Sunday home contests. A LOOK BACK AT 2012

The Falcons ended the 2012 calendar year with a 39-26-4-5 (.588) record, the seventh-best mark in the AHL. Jonathan Audy-Marchessault was seventh in the league with 63 points (21g-42a). Cam Atkinson tied for fifth with 30 goals. Curtis McElhinney tied for first place with six shutouts, all recorded in the 2012-2013 portion of the year.

CAM, CRAIG BATTLE IT OUT

With two goals on the weekend, Ryan Craig pulled to within one (47) of Cam Atkinson (48) for ninth in that department in Falcons history. Craig has 22 power-play goals, good for fifth all-time in team history.

STARK CONTRAST

The Falcons have taken approximately half the major penalties the Sound Tigers have this year. Bridgeport leads the league with 53 majors, while Springfield has collected 27. The Sound Tigers are second in the AHL with 24.22 penalty minutes/game, while Springfield averages 16.57/game (19th).

FUN FRIDAYS

The Falcons are 6-1-1-1 in Friday games.
