Norfolk, VA - Dustin Tokarski recorded his second shutout of the season as the Syracuse Crunch defeated the Norfolk Admirals 3-0 tonight at the Norfolk Scope.

The Crunch penalty kill unit was perfect stopping the Admirals man-advantage on six tries and Tokarski stopped all 22 shots he faced as the Crunch improve to 21-7-2-3 overall and 14-3-0-2 on the road.

Syracuse opened the scoring 2:28 into the first frame with a power-play goal from Richard Panik. Panik potted the rebound of his own shot for the unassisted goal, his 16th of the season. Tyler Johnson doubled the Crunch lead with 5:10 to play in the first when his shot from the blue line beat screened Admirals netminder Frederik Andersen.

The Crunch held the 2-0 lead until Keith Aulie scored with 2:56 to play in the third period. Aulie's slap shot trickled over the goal line for a final score of 3-0 with an assist to Alex Killorn.

The Crunch meet the Admirals again at the Norfolk Scope on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 7:15 p.m.
