Falcons Erixon, Skille Recalled by Columbus

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced Sunday night that defenseman Tim Erixon has been recalled by the Columbus Blue Jackets, the team's NHL affiliate. Forward Jack Skille was also recalled Sunday.

In 10 games with Springfield this season, Erixon leads the team with 13 points, 10 assists and two power-play goals. A fixture on the Falcons power-play unit, the 6-foot-3, 199-pound defenseman also leads the team in points on the man advantage with five (two goals, three assists).

Erixon began the season on the Blue Jackets roster and was loaned to Springfield October 11. He has not appeared in a game with Columbus in 2013-14.

Skille rejoins the Blue Jackets for the second time this season, having played in one game with Columbus October 19 versus the Washington Capitals. The former first round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks has recorded three points (two goals, one assist) and a +1 rating in six games with Springfield.

The Falcons are back in action Friday, November 22 at the MassMutual Center to host the Albany Devils at 7:00 p.m. Springfield then hosts the Hartford Wolf Pack Saturday, November 23, also at 7:00 p.m.
