Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release
Port Huron, MI ... The Port Huron Fighting Falcons have not only clinched a playoff spot in the North American Hockey League (NAHL), but could very well clinch the North Division title this weekend.
The Falcons open a home-and-home series Friday, March 30, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in McMorran Arena against the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings. The Jr. K-Wings trail the Falcons by just a point, and while both teams have clinched a playoff position, the Falcons must win at least one of the games.
Playoff action begins 7 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012 at McMorran Arena. Tickets are $8. Group discounts are as follows: $7 per ticket for 15-24 people, $6 per ticket 25-39 people, $5 per ticket for 40 or more people.
Round one is a best-of-five series. If the Falcons advance, the second round will begin the week of April 16th. From there, the Falcons would travel to Dr. Pepper Arena May 3-8, 2012 in Frisco, Texas for the Robertson Cup Championship. The championship is played round-robin style (each team plays each possible opponent once) and from there play semi-final and final games based upon points.
