
Falcons Add Two Rookies To The Fold

Fresno, Calif. - Fresno Falcons Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Matt Thomas announced today that the Falcons have agreed to terms with rookie Centerman Matt Quinn from Acadia University of Wolfville, Nova Scotia and rookie Defenseman Kenny Macaulay of the University of Vermont, Burlington, VT.
Matt Quinn is a native of Timmins, Ontario and played at Acadia from 2002-2006 where he played in 110 games and earned 56 points on 24 goals and 32 assists. Kenny Macaulay, a native of Baddeck, NS was a Senior co-captain at Vermont where he played defense and tallied 11 goals, 42 assists for 53 points in 109 games. Coach Matt Thomas is excited about both of these young talents joining the Falcons Quest for the Kelly Cup. "Matt Quinn adds youth and speed to what is going to be a faster lineup this year, he is a gritty hockey player who knows how to make good things happen on the ice. Kenny Macaulay is another gritty young hockey player who will add an offensive punch to a faster defensive lineup".

The Fresno Falcons 2nd Annual Hockey vs Hunger Food Drive and Jersey Auction to benefit the Poverello House is this Monday, July 23 at Chukchansi Park. The event will take place at the Fresno Grizzlies Baseball Game starting at 7pm. All fans are encouraged to donate food at this game and earn admission for only $ 5.00. FORMER FALCON GLENN OLSON INJURED IN PLANE CRASH!
Former Falcon and San Jose Draft Pick Glenn Olson was injured in a plane crash last weekend. The Falcons wish Glenn a successful recovery and extend our thoughts and prayers to his family.
