Dayton Bombers News Release
Dayton, OH- Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam announced today that the team has signed second-year defenseman Corey LeClair to a contract for the 2007-2008 season. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Corey has been a solid contributor for us from day one all the way through the playoffs," said MacAdam.
LeClair, 23, finished the 2006-2007 regular season with 20 points (5G, 15A) and 26 PIM. Appearing in 12 Kelly Cup Playoff games, he scored one goal and recorded 12 PIM for the American Conference champions.
"With this past year being his first full professional season, we're expecting this coming year to be even better for him," MacAdam said.
LeClair, a 6-foot-1-inch, 197-pound, native of Riverview, Michigan, split the 2005-2006 season between Dalhousie University and the ECHL's Reading Royals, where he tallied four assists in 23 games played.
"I'm thrilled to be coming back to Dayton and I'm looking forward to a great season," LeClair said. "I'm really looking forward to not only building on my individual game but also for the team to continue to build."
LeClair joins veteran defenseman Greg Labenski on the 2007-2008 roster.
