Sea Wolves Announce 2007-08 Ice Girls

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves on Wednesday announce the members of the 2007-08 Sea Wolves Ice Girls, who will appear at local community events and at all Sea Wolves home games. The Ice Girls will serve as ambassadors for the team, and will also help to raise funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.

"We're really excited to have the Sea Wolves Ice Girls represent our organization in the community," stated Sea Wolves Director of Community Relations Stacy Simon. "We have 16 women who are all very enthusiastic about the upcoming season, and we look forward to developing our partnership with the Memorial Hospital Foundation."

Named to the 2007-08 Sea Wolves Ice Girls squad are Elizabeth Barton, Aimee Lee Bertucci, Kristen Broyles, Katherine Carbone, April Chandler, Sara Franklin, Tiffany Guiterez, Mikie Hagerty, Elizabeth Hare, Zander Holloway, Samantha Johnston, Tiffany Patton, Blythe Stanowski, Bianca Stas, and Lauren Alise Woods. Chelsea Blosky will serve as team captain.

"We had more than 100 women audition for the team, and we really had some tough decisions to make," stated Sea Wolves President Bill Yates. "After a thorough process of try-outs and interviews, we selected a group that we are very proud to have representing the organization."

"The Sea Wolves Organization is a terrific corporate citizen, and our partnership with the Ice Girls to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is just another demonstration of their goodwill," added Memorial Hospital Foundation President Dave Estorge. "We are thrilled about our association with the Sea Wolves and look forward to the upcoming season."

On Saturday, October 27th, the Sea Wolves will celebrate their return to home ice as the team begins their 10th season in pursuit of the ECHL's Kelly Cup. Season tickets are now on sale and sponsorship packages are available by calling 228.275.WOLF (9653).
