November 24, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Fairbanks Grizzlies News Release

The Fairbanks Grizzlies are pleased to announce the signing of Linebacker Steve Faoro of Arcadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. The 6' 235lb Linebacker was one of Canada's top Linebackers in college before landing in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and B.C. Lions. Faoro was a three-time Atlantic University Sport Conference All-Star and was selected as a two-time AUS Defensive Player of the Year. Faoro graduated from Arcadia as the all-time leader in tackles for both the school and the conference. For his efforts Faoro was a two-time nominee for the President's Trophy which is awarded to the best defensive player in Canada. This fall Faoro served as the Linebackers coach for Simon Fraser University in their inaugural season in Division II.

"We are excited and fortunate to add Steve to the Grizzlies family. Steve was actually set to fly out and finish the season with the Las Vegas UFL franchise but that did not occur as planned so he committed to us right away." stated Fairbanks Grizzlies Head Coach Robert Fuller. "Steve is a great pick up for us because of his experience on the field and what for he will bring to our locker room and community."

The Fairbanks Grizzlies are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The 2011 season kicks off in February. Season tickets for the Grizzlies 2011 season are available for purchase. Call (907) 452-5123 for details.
