
Extreme Win Fourth Straight, Draw Largest Crowd of the Year

Bloomington, IL - Bloomington Extreme wide receiver James Walton caught a team and U.S. Cellular Coliseum record five touchdowns to lead the Extreme to a franchise-record straight victory as they beat the Ohio Valley Greyhounds 60-41 Saturday night. They did so in front of 6,387 people, the largest crowd at a United Indoor Football (UIF) game this year and second largest crowd in Extreme history.
Walton, who also set the team record for receptions in a game with nine for 120 yards, caught four straight touchdown passes from quarterback Dusty Burk in the second quarter as Bloomington built a 34-20 halftime lead.
Bloomington finished with 262 yards in total offense as Burk completed 18 of 29 passes for a Coliseum-record 250 yards and fiver touchdowns. First-year player Shatone Powers returned a kickoff 53 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter and running back Rocky Harvey had a six-yard touchdown run for the Extreme's final score in the fourth quarter.
Extreme kicker Peter Christofilakos booted field goals of 34, 25 and 28 yards while converting seven extra point attempts without a miss in his Extreme return. Christofilakos had spent two games in the Arena Football League (AFL) with the Arizona Rattlers.
Defensively, Mike Crumpler and Dorian Pitts lead the charge for Bloomington. Crumpler had six solo tackles and seven assists while Pitts added five solos and eight assists with two tackles for loss, a sack and recovered a fumble.
