Extreme Seek Third Straight Victory in Green Bay
March 25, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Bloomington Extreme News Release
The Bloomington Extreme (2-1) will travel to Wisconsin to face division rival Green Bay Blizzard (2-1) Friday March 26, at 7:00 p.m. in an exciting rematch of a nail-bitter victory for the Extreme two weeks prior.
Coming off their second win against the Chicago Slaughter, the Extreme led by quarterback Luke Drone, look to maintain first place in the Central North Division.
Drone was an efficient 10-15 passing for 110 yards with two touchdowns through the air and one on the ground.
Bernard Payton led the rushing attack with five rushes for 42 yards and touchdown.
The Blizzard are following up an impressive 48-12 victory against the La Crosse Spartans, where they held the Spartan offense to a total of 89 yards and zero points.
Quarterback Jake Phillips threw for five touchdowns in that game and will likely try to repeat his performance, a good test for the Extreme secondary.
In the previous contest with Green Bay, Drone found Johnny Gray in the endzone with only 17 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to propel the Extreme to victory, 24-20.
Tickets as low as $7 per game, every game!
