April 9, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Bloomington Extreme News Release
Bloomington, (Ill.) - Coming off their BYE week, the Bloomington Extreme (2-2) will host the Chicago Slaughter (1-3) in a Central North Division match at U.S. Cellular Coliseum this Saturday, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The last time these teams met, the Extreme pulled out a narrow victory in Chicago, 27-26.
Luke Drone will retake the starting Quarterback role after sitting out two weeks ago against the Green Bay Blizzard. Drone has played three games this season in which he has totaled 37-70 passing for 381 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions.
With hopes of improving their defense, Chicago has signed Defensive Lineman Ron Ellington. Ellington played for the El Paso Generals (IFL) prior to signing with Chicago, where he led the Lone Star Division in sacks and earned a nomination for IFL 2009 MVP. Randy Hutchison will take on the Quarterback duties for the Slaughter as they travel to Bloomington. Through two games this season, Hutchison has accumulated 42-of-70 passing with 321 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions.
